You read the title of this post, and you were like, "What's the point? It's always been okay to have a sweet tooth." Sure, for many, it's adorable. And yes, it's definitely okay. But some people just don't get it. Sometimes, people who love sweets too much get judged. Oh, you're going to have diabetes. Ohhh, you're going to die early. Oh, you're going to be fat. Where's the love?
It's okay to like sweets too much. Many people do. We do, too. Sweetness is part of life, but we all need to know when enough is enough. It is inevitable that too much of anything could be bad for you. Too much of something is bad for you, and that is a fact we have to live with. But it doesn't have to be tough or complicated. Sure, you want to shove a million lollipops and candy bars in your mouth and drink all those sugar-y drinks you can manage to gulp in a jiffy, but that doesn't make it a good thing.
People judge, yes. It's our nature to do so. We have the right to our own opinion, and our thoughts are our own. Sometimes, you get judged because you like sweets too much, and you feel like you're in some foreign planet where 'people' judge you for loving everything sweet. Sometimes, you feel bad about it and wonder how it's possible that others do not feel the same way. Trust me, there are thousands, if not millions, of people out there who are just like you, and it's okay.
There will always be something about you that people will never ever understand. Not everyone will get your humor. Some people will never like your hair no matter how many times you visit the hair salon. There will be people who will leave you and people who will hurt you. And there is no point in trying to make yourself fit in. There is no use pretending to be someone you aren't just to make one person like you and accept you. It doesn't have to be that way. You have to know that you are beautiful and wonderful in your own way, and having a sweet tooth does not make you anything less than awesome.
There will be people who would tell you how unhealthy your diet is and how you should just ditch sweets for vegetables and other healthy stuff. Sure, you do eat vegetables. You eat a lot of other things too, but what’s the point of never eating sweets again? Sure, that could be one way of living a healthy life for good, but where’s the fun in that? You only live once and you're only young once.
It’s okay to have a sweet tooth. There’s no problem in having a pretty lollipop once in a while to reward yourself. You just have to keep in mind that too much of everything could be bad for you. So be happy with even just the little things. A candy bar, a lollipop, a piece of cake. Never forget to always reward yourself. You definitely deserve it.
